Tanjung Benoa is
one of Bali's multi-cultural areas, with Chinese, Hindus and
Moslems living in close proximity. Tanjung Benoa is one of the
best places to experience water sports such as wind surfing,
snorkeling, parasailing, and jet skiing. With a mask and
snorkel you can explore underwater Indonesia, teeming with
green sea turtles, manta rays, angel fish, and occasionally
a gargantuan Oceanic sunfish, which sometimes grow to more
than two meters in length. You can also book a cruise here
and explore some of the smaller islands of Indonesia or the
outer coral reefs that are virtually untouched. Be sure to
take along sunscreen and a wide hat, because the sun can be
quite strong.
Benoa harbor is
the center of the local and international fishing industry.
The large tuna and marlin that are processed here are packed
in ice and whisked off to the sushi bars of New York City
and Tokyo. Sample the fresh fish here in Bali three days
